AURORA WELLBEING CENTRE – WORKSOP
The Aurora Wellbeing Centre in Worksop is a unique therapy service providing support in the Bassetlaw community for people affected by cancer and long-term health conditions. We encourage people to be active participants in their wellbeing, working together to improve physical and emotional health.

We deliver our services for Bassetlaw from the Old Library and Museum building in Worksop. We open at 9am Monday to Friday and close to the public at 4pm. Our therapy appointments close at 5pm.

From our Therapy Suite we offer specialised cancer support, beauty and holistic therapy, one to one and group counselling, wellbeing workshops, family therapy and counselling for young people affected by cancer and regular support groups.

From our Heritage Hub we encourage people to engage with local heritage in many ways to boost wellbeing. We deliver activities inspired by history and heritage including a Heritage Café, Art Therapy groups, History Maker family events and heritage-inspired social groups. We are open to visitors every day and share the history of Worksop through handling objects and sharing stories.

From our Curve we have a range of fitness equipment and run a programme of specialised exercise sessions, with some general sessions for the public. We also run regular exercise groups such as Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga.

From our Community Space we have a tea-room, charity shop, hireable meeting rooms and community spaces. Valerie’s Tearoom overlooks the park and has a selection of home cooked food. Our popular charity shop is volunteer led and is the place to pick up a bargain. Our meeting and community rooms are used as relaxed spaces for support groups including a regular bereavement group, prostate cancer support group, partners group and drop-in support groups for people with long term health conditions; as well as rooms to be hired out for meetings, workshops and training.

We are open to everyone and have a varied programme of sociable, supported, educational and relaxed activities, events and projects to boost your wellbeing.

For more information, you can contact us in many ways.
